Woodbury Lecture Set 4/4

Set 4/4 from my Woodbury University Gesture Lectures.
1-3 min drawings
April 2019
The stools and chairs did a tremendous job posing as horses. (/bulls 🤪)

Woodbury Lecture Set 3/4

With the one and only Toni Sky
April 2019
The elegance of her poses are always a pleasure to try and capture. The first pose reminded me so much of Mary Magdalene, lol and at the moment I thought I should add a cat in there. There are a lot more, didn't want to crowd the place.

Lightbox Expo 2019

Super honored to be sponsored for a table by Sony Animation at the first Lightbox Expo this year. I had a terrific time meeting so many talented artists who came to say hi and shared a few moments with me. Thanks to everyone who stopped by! Thanks again to Sony Animation and to Bobby Chiu and his team!

Duncan Studio

It has been such an honor and an amazing and humbling experience working for Duncan Studio on my first feature and learning from animation giants Ken Duncan, Sandro Cluezo and Chris Sauve..

Woodbury Gesture Lecture - Set 1 of 4

A few months back, I got to teach a Character Design and Gesture Class at Woodbury University in Burbank. :D Gosh did I have a great time! I always loved teaching! This was special as it was my first in-house teaching experience..The class was pretty small as it was a last minute arrangement but the students were super cheerful and really wanted to learn.. We went through as much as we could from illustrators from way back to 30s Disney to 50's Disney to Hans Bacher to European animation to all the new designers out here. Every class we would also break down a short film as well. On top of that we got to draw these fantastic models every week like this one here, I think her name is Parker McPhinney (super sorry if I'm wrong) who would pretend to be on a horse for a minute or more with her legs in mid-air and stay completely stationary.

Most of these are 30 seconds to 3 minutes..
